Scholarships

• Scholarships are available to cover full tuition fees.
• Awarded only to applicants achieving at least 3As at A-Level or 38 points at IBDP (excluding bonus points) or equivalent.
• Applicants must be accepted for admissions to RUMC prior to applying for a scholarship.
• Applicants must hold an offer letter from RUMC and have paid a deposit or hold a deposit waiver.
• Note: Deposit waivers are subject to approval from Registry, upon submission of Deposit Waiver Form & supporting documents.
• Applicants must not be bonded to or in receipt of any financial aid or rewards from other educational institutions or organisations.
• Applicants will be assessed on both academic and non-academic achievements.
• Applicants must complete, sign and submit the application form, submit 2 essays, and provide a letter of reference by 31st May 2022 via scholarship@rcsiucd.edu.my
• Shortlisted applicants will be invited for an interview in June 2022.

RUMC’s decision on awarding these scholarships will be final and successful offer holders will be notified after examination results are confirmed.

A. 20% Scholarship (closed)

• Partial scholarships are available to cover 20% of full tuition fees.
• Awarded only to applicants achieving at least 3As at A-Level or 38 points at IBDP (excluding bonus points) or equivalent.
• Applicants must be accepted for admission to RUMC prior to 31st January 2022 and pay the deposit before 21st February 2022.
• Applicants will be assessed on early bird application and academic achievements.
• There is no application form. Applicants to RUMC who apply before the deadline and meet the requirements will be eligible for the scholarships.

B. 15% Scholarship

• These scholarships are available to cover 15% of full tuition fees.
• To be eligible for this scholarship, the following requirements must be met.
  1) Obtained 3As and above in A-Levels or equivalent
  2) Accept the offer and pay deposit by 30th of June 2022
• Applicants will be assessed through on time deposit payment and academic excellence.

Students holding Indian passports are eligible to apply for a 20% scholarship for the Undergraduate Medicine programme.

To be considered for this scholarship, applicants are expected to meet the following requirements:

1) CBSE – Average of 95% overall in any 3 subjects with a score of 90% and above in each individual science subject:

• Biology
• Chemistry
• Mathematics or Physics

OR

At least 3As at A-Level / 38 points at IBDP (excluding bonus points) OR equivalent

3) Students must be accepted for admission to RUMC and paid deposit by 31st May 2022.

*Please note that deposit waiver is not applicable for the 20%scholarship.

Scholarships equivalent to 50% of the tuition fee will be awarded to students who have obtained 8A’s and above in their SPM / 7A’s and above in IGCSE (or equivalent).

Deadline for application: 15 May 2022

Scholarships equivalent to 25% of the tuition fee will be awarded to students who have obtained 6A’s and above in their SPM / 6A’s and above in IGCSE (or equivalent).

Apply early for the RUMC FIS with interim results. Applicants will be considered early for Scholarships based on interim results.

Scholarships to be awarded upon confirmation of final results.
